Here are four images of one patient who had liposuction of the upper hips, saddlebag area, and upper inner thighs. The left column shows preoperative images; the right column shows postoperative images.
This page shows front and diagonal views of a single patient. This patient had liposuction of the abdomen, upper hips, saddlebag area, and upper inner thighs. The images in the left column were taken prior to the procedure. The middle images show the results after 5 weeks, and the final images on right were taken 3 months afterward. This nicely illustrates how it does take at least 8 weeks (and sometimes longer) to see the final results after liposuction.
This lady is a very active athlete who is involved in long distance running as well numerous other athletic activities. She was unhappy with the inability to address certain small areas of fatty deposition at her hips and legs, and desired body contouring (liposuction) as an adjunct to her exercise to address these areas. She had liposuction performed using local anesthesia and was awake and talking during our clinic procedure. Attention was given to the upper hips, trochanteric areas (‘saddlebags’) and upper inner thighs. The post-procedure pictures were taken six months after her liposuction.
This very trim lady, who had had several children, presented complaining of the residual stretch marks on her abdomen, and to a lesser degree the fullness in her lower abdomen. This was addressed with abdominoplasty to remove the stretch marks, as well as to tighten her lower abdominal musculature.
She also had liposuction to minimize the fatty deposits at the upper hips, saddle-bag areas (trochanteric areas) and upper inner thighs. Markings on her right leg in one of the pre-operative photos in the left column indicate areas to receive attention. Post-operative pictures in right column were taken eight months after the procedure.
This lady desired body countouring of her abdomen, as well as her hips, gluteal region and thighs. We approached this for her with an abdominoplasty, combined with liposuction of the following areas: upper hips, upper medial thighs, and trochanteric areas “saddle-bags.”
This patient is a 28 year old lady who was quite trim, but was unhappy with the area of fatty fullness at her lower abdomen. She has no children, but notes that this area of fullness is common in her family. On examination, she had good skin tone, with good elasticity, and was felt to be a very good candidate for abdominal liposuction. (When there is excess skin, as is usually the case after several pregnancies, *abdominoplasty* is often a better option). The pre-operative pictures on the left show the marks made by Dr. Concannon to guide the area that fat will be removed. The post-operative images show her 4 months after this procedure, which was done in the office underlocal anesthesia with IV sedation; she was awake and comfortable during the entire procedure.
This patient is a very athletic individual who presented with relatively diffuse areas of concern with regard to fatty deposition. She was not overweight, but had excess fatty deposition at the abdomen, upper inner thighs, hips and saddlebag areas, and flanks (the areas to be worked on are marked in the pre-operative images, shown on the left). The post-operative images are shown on the right; she was ecstatic that she now had a defined waist, which she had not had before.
This individual was a 54 year old who had always been unhappy with her hip areas (specifically, the 'saddlebag' area). She had liposuction performed of the hip area in the office under local anesthesia with IV sedation. Her results are shown 3 months on the right.
This individual was a 23 year old who was unhappy with her upper hip areas, abdomen, and upper inner thighs. She had liposuction performed of these areas hip area in our fully accredited on-site surgical suite under local anesthesia with IV sedation. Her results are shown 3 months on the right.
